Quetta protest ends after Interior Minister’s assurance over targeted killing

News Desk: According to reports, unidentified armed men opened fire in the Hazarganji area of Quetta, resulting in the deaths of two vendors, while three people sustained injuries. The injured were immediately shifted to the Balochistan Medical Complex (BMC) Hospital for treatment.

Following the incident, relatives of the victims and local residents staged a strong protest. They blocked the Western Bypass by burning tyres and demanded the immediate arrest of the attackers.

The protest was later called off after Balochistan Interior Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove reached the site and held negotiations with the demonstrators. After successful talks and assurances from the minister, the protesters ended their sit-in and traffic on the Western Bypass was restored.
