EU calls for diplomacy

Web Desk: An EU foreign affairs spokesperson stated that the bloc supports mediation efforts and praised Pakistan for its role in facilitating dialogue. The spokesperson added that Brussels is ready to assist in mediation to ensure continuity of peace talks.

Earlier, Australia’s Foreign Minister urged the United States and Iran to return to the negotiating table, describing the breakdown of an agreement-based process as disappointing. A British health minister also expressed regret over the failure to reach an accord.

According to Russian media, President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, during which they discussed US-Iran talks held in Islamabad.
